چکیده
The paper addresses the properties of glassforming melts in an attempt to predict the dependence of viscosity on temperature and on pressure. A review on the main viscosity models (free volume model, the Adam & Gibbs model etc.) is given. It is demonstrated that the activation energy can be expressed through the glass transition temperature Tg. The main attention is concentrated on the jump frequency model of Avramov & Milchev, the AM model. According to it, viscosity η depends on the entropy S of the system and through it on temperature and on pressure. The viscosity

Gas-liquid Relative Permeability Estimation in 2D Porous Media by Lattice Boltzmann Method: Low Viscosity Ratio 2D LBM Relative Permeability
This work is a primary achievement in studying the CO2 and N2–oil systems. To predict gas-liquid relative permeability curves, a Shan-Chen type multicomponent multiphase lattice Boltzmann model for two-phase flow through 2D porous media is developed. Periodic and bounce back boundary conditions are applied to the model with the Guo scheme for the external body force (i.e.,...

متن کاملOn the anomalous viscosity of monodisperse latex in the disordered state
2014 It is found that the viscosity of a monodisperse polystyrene latex in the disordered state increases anomalously when the disorder-order transition point is approached. This anomalous behaviour is analysed based on the Cohen-Turnbull theory of molecular diffusion in a liquid. J. Physique 41 (1980) 585-589 JUIN 1980, Classification Physics Abstracts 46.60 51.20
متن کاملStability and Rheological Behavior of Sulfonated Polyacrylamide/ Laponite Nanoparticles Dispersions in Electrolyte Media
Due to the importance of nanoparticles stability in industrial applications, in this research, stability of laponite nanoparticles dispersions containing different concentrations of sodium sulfonated polyacrylamide (SPA) was investigated in electrolyte media for oil reservoirs applications. In this regard, effect of parameters such as polymer concentration, temperature, and ionic strength were ...
متن کاملPerformance Evaluation of Viscosity Characteristics of Enhanced Preformed Particle Gels (PPGs)
Preformed Particle Gels (PPGs) treatment is one of the most promising solutions to improve conformance control in mature water flooded oil reservoirs. It is very important to be able to evaluate and predict performance of PPGs in porous media. In this paper, we will first introduce new class of enhanced PPGs designed for harsh reservoir conditions (high salinity and temperature) and then pr...
